Rosa is an award-winning filmmaker and artist based in London. With a Fine Arts background, she has been a practising artist since 2008. In her practice she explores movement and gesture as a core, using the human body and elements from reality to interpret the workings of the subconscious mind. She has a fascination for drawing, always present in her work.
She started experimenting with moving image in 2017 and obtained an MA in Animation from the University of the Arts London. Her first animated film In our skin holds an extensive list of international festival selections as well as Best Animation, Best Experimental, Audience, Jury and Best European Short awards.
She is currently directing and animating Carmeline, a new short film about ageing, as well as working on private and commercial commissions.
